Dear Prospective Member:

As a Registered Nurse, you are aware of the rewards and gratification offered in this challenging field. In an effort to assist you in facing these challenges, you may wish to know of the existence of our organization. OFPN represents Registered Nurses in Family Practice settings in private offices, clinics, teaching centers, HSOs, CHCs and university/college student health centers. OFPN and RNAO are working together to advocate for Family Practice Nurses, especially in this time of health care transformation.

The Ontario Family Practice Nurse functions as an integral part of the health care team. Through our role, we assess the needs of the individual and family promoting the wellness model and disease prevention.

OFPN provides:

  • A biennial national conference
  • A newsletter several times a year
  • An opportunity to fulfill our Quality Assurance requirements
  • Educational workshops
  • Professional development days
  • Networking opportunities

OFPN is committed to the Family Practice Nurse By:
