Highlights of the Association’s 85 years
The RNAO Board of Directors operates as a policy-oriented governing board. The Board governs on behalf of the Association’s membership and provides strategic leadership. The Board sets RNAO’s strategic directions through its ENDs and the resolutions passed at the Annual General Meeting.
RNAO has a number of chapters/regions without chapters that act as the voice and forum for the nursing profession across Ontario. They offer a network of professional resources and support, and maintain the unity of the association while serving the interests of RNAO members.
RNAO's interest groups act as the voice and forum for specialized areas of the nursing profession. They offer a network of professional resources and support, both personal and sometimes financial, through bursaries and awards.
A Workplace Liaison acts as a representative of RNAO in a nursing workplace. This key person is in a position to enhance communications between RNAO and an organization's nurses
