Best Practice Spotlight Organizations Best Practice Spotlight Organizations (BPSOs) are health-care and academic organizations selected by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) through a Request for Proposals process to implement, evaluate and share lessons learned from their guideline experiences and research findings. It is a dynamic partnership that focuses on making a positive impact on patient care though evidence-based practice. For more information about this initiative and how to become a BPSO, click on the links below. BPSO candidates are organizations that are working to complete their three-year partnership with RNAO. After the three-year mark, organizations may “graduate” to become BPSOs as they continue their commitment to implement, evaluate and disseminate BPGs.
In April 2009, twelve Spotlight Organizations were formally and officially designated as BPSOs. They are joining the existing nine designate organizations. The new designation allows these select facilities to be recognized for their continuous effort to disseminate, implement and evaluate RNAO’s BPGs; thereby building on the productive, collaborative work already completed during their initial three-year contract with RNAO.
